Firm in the Faith
I Peter 5:9 - "But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world."
A prime reason why there is not more victory over the flesh and the devil is firmness of faith. For many of us, our faith has become flabby and out of shape. Faith cannot be engineered by our will but must be implanted by our love and devotion for Jesus. As we turn our gaze upon Jesus, beloved, we resist everything not of God. This supernatural dynamic becomes as natural as breathing.
